How the Technology Works

Since the 1800s, commercial refrigeration has worked the same way: a thermostat reads air temperature inside the cabinet and cycles the compressor on and off accordingly. The problem is that air temperature changes almost instantly — a door opens, warm air rushes in, and the compressor fires up even though the food is still cold. Your refrigeration system spends much of its time air-conditioning empty space. eTemp replaces that logic. eTemp is a sensor upgrade: a patented enclosure that houses the thermostat's existing thermal sensor, creating a thermal barrier that mimics the thermal mass of stored food. The sensor now effectively reads food temperature rather than air temperature. The compressor responds only when the product actually needs cooling — not every time a door opens or the ambient air shifts. How long does the pilot program take from start to finish?

A standard pilot runs two weeks total: one week of pre-installation baseline measurement, followed by sensor installation, followed by one week of post-installation monitoring. The before-and-after comparison is delivered promptly after the second week's data is received.
